 Holy crap it’s the EMOO

Another artfight attack…artfight is carrying my through this challenge honestly!! Someone made a clone high oc out of John Linnell (and John Flansburgh too but only drew Linnell…not beating the John Bias allegations), which, if you’ve never heard of clone high it’s just a show about teenage clones of famous people being teenagers and having teenage drama I think I’ve never seen it. But EMO JOHN LINELLL

The text in the background is referencing the ICONIC first paragraph of the MASTERPIECE that is the my immortal fanfiction. I’ll paste the text that was in the art here:

“Hi my name is John Sydney Linnell and I have short fluffy chestnut hair (that's how I got my name) with floppy bangs and chocolate brown eyes like and a lot of people tell me I look like Jerma (AN: if u don't know who he is get da heck out of here!). I'm a vampire but my teeth are straight and white. I have pale white skin. I'm also a clone, and I go to a school called Clone High in America where I'm in the 12th grade (I'm seventeen). I'm a emo (in case you couldn't tell) and I wear mostly black. I love Hot Topic and I buy all my clothes from there. For example today I was wearing a striped sweater with a black and red shirt on top of it and 3 bracelets on one hand, black jeans and black combat boots. I was wearing black eyeshadow and black eyeliner. I was walking outside Clone High. It was snowing and raining so there was no sun, which I was very happy about. A lot of preps stared at me. I put up my middle finger at them.”

“HATSUNE MIKU?? HAVE YOU COME TO PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERY???” This originally wasn’t supposed to be for the challenge but I thought “yeah I don’t really have a plan for next week, I’ll just throw this doodle in” so yeah! WEEK 1

Hello!! It’s finally time to start this challenge…I haven’t talked about this at all on any of my social medias, but yes!! I’m drawing TMBG fanart every week!! Please see my first post for context :) I was planning on starting work on this drawing a week in advance, but I couldn’t really decide on what to draw…whenever you make a “first” of something it has to be pretty basic, I can’t do anything TOO fancy!! But then again I can’t do anything too simple… Usually when I think of the Johns, I imagine John F being the typa guy to put his Christmas tree on November 1st and always get super festive whenever the holidays come around, and John L just going along with whatever Christmas festivities there are (but secretly just wanting to go home). So this is just a simple, goofy drawing of John F anxiously waiting for 2024 while John L sleeps it all off- I think the composition could be a lil bit better, and I’m still struggling with dynamic poses, but I’m happy with this for now!! hello! If you’ve stumbled apon this website and have no idea what this is about, I’m basically going to be challenging myself to draw fanart for the rock band They Might Be Giants (TMBG, if you will) until they release a new album. That’s it. If you don’t know who I am, my name is Audrey/Polygawn!! I’m a young artist who’s been hyperfixating on TMBG for the latter half of 2023, and I’ve decided to throw all the art here on blog spot as apposed to YouTube or whatever!! It’s not ideal but I really like the oldish internet vibes of it lol But. About the challenge. The ground rules are that I have to draw something, ANYTHING related to TMBG every single week.
