WEEK 3

 yay it’s that time again!!! I’ll be submitting this blog-thing to TMBGareOK in one week…I’m not scared you are :’]



The Johns as pikmin captains!! Pikmin 4 is one of my favorite games ever, so I decided to combine my two interests into one goofy drawing!! 

I think this was kind of a test to see how I could translate the John’s’ features into different species (?) or art styles, like yeah they can be pikmin captains but still LOOK like TMBG!! Thankfully pikmin characters are pretty simple and easy to draw :) here’s my first iteration of them!!



As for the art, I REALLY like how I drew flans but linnell doesn’t look very good imo…you can’t really tell he’s holding a yellow pikmin so it just looks like he’s strangling the poor guy :(( IM SURE HE MEANS WELL THOUGH

Also!! I really like how I colored this!!! I think it’s nice!!! Not too shabby!!!

but yeah, that was this week’s art!! Not sure how to end this…I DO HAVE MORE STUFF TO SAY

1. The instant Fanclub is probably coming back really soon!! I have no idea what it exactly is but I’m totally gonna throw all my money at the Johns…a part of me is hoping they’re gonna drop their new album later in the year so I can keep doing this challenge, but a part of me is SUPER impatient and starved for TMBG content. It’ll be nice to see the fanbase come together again!!

2. FINALLY GOT MY BRACES OFF. My teeth are smooth n shiny :D my retainer is really annoying though…

3. Flood’s anniversary was yesterday!! I sadly forgot about it so I didn’t draw anything, but that’s ok!! I’m still really exited for I Like Fun’s anniversary, it’s such a good album!! Hopefully I can draw something for that


yeah that’s all!! Bye!! (I think I use exclamation points too much…but then again if I don’t I usually think I sound bored and flat lol)

“HATSUNE MIKU?? HAVE YOU COME TO PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERY???” This originally wasn’t supposed to be for the challenge but I thought “yeah I don’t really have a plan for next week, I’ll just throw this doodle in” so yeah! WEEK 1

Hello!! It’s finally time to start this challenge…I haven’t talked about this at all on any of my social medias, but yes!! I’m drawing TMBG fanart every week!! Please see my first post for context :) I was planning on starting work on this drawing a week in advance, but I couldn’t really decide on what to draw…whenever you make a “first” of something it has to be pretty basic, I can’t do anything TOO fancy!! But then again I can’t do anything too simple… Usually when I think of the Johns, I imagine John F being the typa guy to put his Christmas tree on November 1st and always get super festive whenever the holidays come around, and John L just going along with whatever Christmas festivities there are (but secretly just wanting to go home). So this is just a simple, goofy drawing of John F anxiously waiting for 2024 while John L sleeps it all off- I think the composition could be a lil bit better, and I’m still struggling with dynamic poses, but I’m happy with this for now!! hello! If you’ve stumbled apon this website and have no idea what this is about, I’m basically going to be challenging myself to draw fanart for the rock band They Might Be Giants (TMBG, if you will) until they release a new album. That’s it. If you don’t know who I am, my name is Audrey/Polygawn!! I’m a young artist who’s been hyperfixating on TMBG for the latter half of 2023, but alas, I am only 14 years old with very strict parents. My only main social media is YouTube, as I’m not allowed to post on tumblr (I only use my tumblr to submit to TMBGareOK), or use literally any other main social media. So, I’ve made a blog spot!!
